Project Overview
On Demand Delivery is a UAE platform that brings food, grocery, retail and courier fulfilment into one connected service. Customers can browse merchants, place different order types, track riders and repeat previous purchases from one account. Riders receive assignments through a dedicated app, while merchants manage catalogues, availability and incoming orders through their own interface. A central operations dashboard gives the operator control over rider dispatch, order status and service coverage. Built as an on demand delivery app UAE customers could use across several daily needs, the product reduces the friction of switching between separate services and gives the operator one system for managing growth.
Project Idea
The business idea was to give one private UAE operator the ability to manage several everyday delivery categories through a single product. Instead of building isolated services for meals, groceries, retail purchases and courier jobs, Techanic Infotech designed one operating model with shared customer accounts, common delivery logic and central oversight.
Running separate apps would have created duplicated merchant records, fragmented customer journeys and underused rider capacity. A food fleet could be overloaded during dinner while riders assigned to another category remained available. Separate systems would also make support, reporting, service areas and order visibility harder for the operations team to manage consistently.
The platform therefore used one customer experience, live order tracking and a shared rider network across different order types. Dispatch logic could consider rider availability, pickup location, destination and active workload before assigning a job. This gave the operator better control of capacity while customers received one place to follow orders from confirmation through fulfilment.
The product principle was built around speed, trust and control. Customers needed quick ordering and clear status updates, merchants needed dependable order handling, and riders needed simple task information while moving through busy UAE roads. The operations team needed enough control to intervene when orders changed, riders were delayed or demand shifted between delivery categories.

Challenges
The platform had to work equally well for a first time customer placing a simple courier request and a merchant handling a concentrated dinner rush. User flows therefore had to remain clear without hiding operational detail. During UAE peak hours, customers expected quick confirmation and live tracking, while merchants needed visible preparation states and riders needed assignments that could be understood at a glance.
Catalogue accuracy was more complex because each category behaved differently. Restaurants needed item availability, options and preparation times, grocery stores needed frequently changing stock, retail merchants needed product variants, and courier requests needed pickup and destination details rather than a traditional basket. Techanic Infotech created category specific rules while keeping one shared order structure behind the platform.
Performance also had to remain stable when several demand patterns overlapped. Dinner peaks could raise food order volume quickly, while weekend grocery demand produced larger baskets and longer fulfilment times. At the same time, courier jobs could enter the same rider network. Search, checkout, live order tracking and rider dispatch were designed to stay responsive as these mixed order types moved through the system together.

Project Features
The feature set was designed around the daily actions that matter most in a mixed delivery operation. Each interface gives its user only the controls needed for the current task, while shared order data keeps customers, merchants, riders and the operations team aligned from order creation through fulfilment.
Customer Signup and Profile
Customers can create an account, save contact details, manage delivery addresses and maintain profile information for faster repeat ordering across categories.
Multi Category Ordering
Users can order food, groceries and retail products or create courier requests from one account without moving between separate applications.
Live Order Tracking
Customers can follow order progress, rider movement and delivery status in real time, with clear updates from confirmation through doorstep completion.
Rider Assignment
The system supports rider dispatch using location, availability and active workload so mixed fleet capacity can be directed towards current delivery demand.
Merchant Dashboard
The merchant dashboard lets partners manage catalogues, availability, incoming orders, preparation progress and fulfilment status from a focused operational interface.
Saved Orders and Reordering
Customers can access previous purchases and saved preferences, making routine grocery, food and retail orders quicker to repeat with fewer steps.

Results
Techanic Infotech launched a connected Android, iOS and Web platform covering customer ordering, rider operations, merchant management and central administration. The release supported food, grocery, retail and courier workflows without forcing the operator to maintain a separate technology stack for each category.
Operationally, the client gained one rider network and one dashboard for monitoring active orders across delivery types. The team could see where demand was building, review rider availability, manage exceptions and coordinate fulfilment from a common system rather than reconciling several disconnected tools.
Customers received a more consistent journey across categories, including common account details, checkout behaviour and live order tracking. Merchants gained clearer control over incoming orders and availability, while riders received structured pickup and delivery tasks through one app. This reduced operational ambiguity during busy periods and made support cases easier to trace.
The platform also gives the client room to expand within the UAE without rebuilding the core product. New merchants, service areas and delivery categories can be added within the existing operating model, while shared dispatch, catalogue controls and central reporting provide a foundation for measured regional growth.
