Project Overview

Last Mile Delivery Solution was developed for a private UAE logistics operator managing deliveries across multiple service areas. The platform connected customers, riders, dispatch teams and delivery managers through dedicated digital interfaces. Customers could view delivery information and follow order progress, while riders received assigned jobs, route guidance and delivery instructions through their mobile interface. Dispatch teams could monitor active deliveries, manage rider assignments and respond to exceptions from a central web dashboard. Techanic Infotech designed the system around UAE delivery conditions, where traffic patterns, building access, peak hours and changing delivery locations can affect fulfilment. The goal was clearer control from dispatch through doorstep completion.

Project Idea

The business idea was to give the operator one system for managing the final stage of deliveries from dispatch through successful handover. The platform brought orders, rider availability, route planning, delivery status and customer visibility into a connected operational workflow.

Managing last mile deliveries through separate tools can create gaps between dispatch teams and riders. A rider may receive incomplete instructions, a dispatcher may not have a current view of delivery progress, and customers may contact support simply because the latest status is unclear. These gaps become more noticeable as daily delivery volumes increase.

Techanic Infotech connected rider dispatch, route planning and live tracking through a shared platform. Dispatchers could assign deliveries based on rider availability and location, while riders received structured job information and route guidance. Customers could follow delivery progress, giving every participant a clearer view of what was happening without relying on repeated calls.

The product principle was built around speed, visibility and control. Riders needed simple instructions while moving, dispatchers needed a live operational view, and customers needed reliable delivery updates. The system therefore focused on reducing unnecessary steps while keeping important delivery information available to the people responsible for each stage.

Challenges

The platform had to support both experienced riders completing many deliveries and newer riders who needed clearer task information. UAE delivery routes can involve apartment towers, office buildings, gated communities and changing access points, so a delivery address alone was not always enough. The rider experience needed useful instructions without creating too much information to process while travelling between stops.

Route and order accuracy also required careful handling. Delivery jobs could include different package sizes, priority levels and destination types, while rider availability changed throughout the day. The dispatch team needed to see active jobs, rider locations and delivery states together. Techanic Infotech structured the workflow so assignments could be adjusted when a rider became unavailable or a delivery required operational attention.

Performance was particularly important during evening peaks and periods of higher retail and ecommerce activity. Multiple deliveries could enter the system within a short period, creating pressure on search, dispatch and tracking services. The platform was designed to keep active delivery information responsive while supporting live location updates, route decisions and status changes across the rider and operations interfaces.

Project Features

The feature set was shaped around the practical work involved in completing a delivery. Riders receive focused tasks, dispatchers gain a clearer operational view, and customers can follow progress without depending on manual updates.

  • Customer Delivery Details

Customers can view delivery information, confirm destination details and access current order status through a clear digital delivery journey.

  • Delivery Order Management

The platform supports delivery creation, package information, destination details and status changes across the full fulfilment workflow.

  • Live Delivery Tracking

Customers and operations teams can follow rider movement and delivery progress through live tracking, providing clearer visibility during active fulfilment.

  • Rider Dispatch

Dispatchers can assign jobs based on rider availability, location and active workload, helping delivery capacity respond to changing demand.

  • Operations Dashboard

The central dashboard gives delivery teams visibility across active orders, rider status, exceptions and service activity from one web interface.

  • Delivery History

Customers and operations teams can review completed delivery records, helping support teams trace previous orders and understand fulfilment activity.

Results

Techanic Infotech delivered Last Mile Delivery Solution across Android, iOS and Web, connecting customer visibility, rider workflows and central delivery operations. The completed platform gave the operator a structured way to manage deliveries from order creation through rider assignment, route progress and final completion.

The main operational improvement was a shared view of the delivery network. Dispatch teams could monitor active orders and rider availability from one dashboard, make assignment decisions with better context and respond to delivery exceptions without relying on separate communication channels.

Riders received clearer delivery instructions and more structured task flows, while customers gained better visibility into delivery progress. Live tracking reduced uncertainty around active deliveries and gave support teams more information when customers needed an update or when a delivery required intervention.

The client now has a delivery foundation that can support additional riders, service areas and order volumes within the UAE without replacing the core system. Future improvements can extend route optimisation, delivery analytics, service area controls and operational reporting as the network grows.

Plus Jakarta Sans gives the delivery interface a clean and practical appearance. Its readable forms help riders scan addresses, delivery instructions and task states quickly while moving between jobs. The same typeface works well for operational dashboards where dispatchers need to review several pieces of information at once without the interface feeling crowded.
